Egypt Travel Package "Gateway to the Western Desert" 7 Days Oasis Bahariya, Siwa Cairo

Program Details:

Day 1

The trip starts from Cairo. Our representatives will welcome you in the airport throughout the whole day. Optional city tour if time allows.

Day 2

Drive down to Bahariya Oasis. We reach Bahariya, have tea in a tradition Bedouin house, and then explore the beautiful oasis. Bahariya is the first Western Desert oasis town from the northern side of Egypt. We hop on our 4-wheel drive cars and head towards the white desert. Spend the night camping and have a Bedouin dinner in the White Desert.

Day 3

We start the day by exploring the White Desert with its surreal mushroom-like limestone formations. The White Desert gets its name from these windswept formations and limestone and it is actually mostly “white.” We stop to see the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain. We go back to have lunch in Bahariya Oasis. Along the way, we visit the Valley of the Golden Mummies and other ancient and enchanting destinations. Have tea and biscuits by one of the many captivating Bahariya springs. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 4

Then we head towards the Siwa-Bahariya desert pathway, crossing remote uninhabited desert oases. We reach Siwa Oasis and take a beautiful stroll through the streets of the city on a caravan of donkey carts. Sleep at hotel in Siwa.

Day 5

We begin the day in Siwa. Visit the ancient fortress of Shali, and then explore the Temple of Amon, where Alexander the Great was crowned King of The World. We take a swim in Cleopatra’s pool, one of the many natural springs that contain holistic healing properties. We venture to the Great Sand Sea in the Sahara desert to Bir Wahed and drive over some of the highest sand dunes (app.80 M) in the Western Desert. At the top of Bir Wahed, we gaze at the endless dunes of the great sand sea at sunset, a sight that will forever be engraved in your memory. We visit Fossil Mountain that is located next to Bir Wahed. We spend the night in the traditional Bedouin way under the stars.

Day 6

Drive to Cairo; along the way we drive by the Mediterranean coastal town of Sidi Abdel Rahman in the historical Alamein area. Reach Cairo, visit the great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, and have some free time to tour in vibrant Cairo. (Early departures)

Departure. Optional city tour if time allows.
