Overview:
This trip has it all. It packs
Western Desert escapades,
the Red Sea pristine beaches, and divine
Sinai
experiences.
We start in
Cairo and begin our journey to the great wilderness
of the western desert. We stop at
Bahariya
Oasis; visit
the
White Desert with its surreal formations. Do a stopover
at the newly discovered valley of the golden mummies. Along
the way, we visit the Crystal Mountain and the
Black Desert.
We continue on to
Farafra
Oasis and its old mud brick town,
and then head out to
Dakhla
oasis and
Kharga
oasis with their
enduring ancient temples. Our last stop before heading back
to Cairo is
Luxor. The intensity of the ancient history
in Luxor is unrivaled anywhere else in the world. We cross
to the west bank of the Nile to the famous
Valley Of the Kings. We continue on to the resort town of
Hurghada
and cross the Red Sea to
Sharm el Sheikh in Sinai. We travel
to the remote mountain area of the newly restored
Sarabit
el Khadem, Sinai’s only ancient Egyptian temple. We leave
the temple behind to visit another spiritual icon,
Saint
Catharine monastery and Mount Sinai. We rest at the local
eco-lodge, and continue to the small resort town of
Dahab,
where we find beaches and water activities readily available.
Afterward, we leave to Cairo to visit the
Great Pyramids
of Giza and depart home.

Short Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrive in Cairo, Transfer to Hotel (City Tour
optional)
Day 2 Travel and tour Bahariya Oasis and Valley of
the Golden Mummies. Sleep in Bawiti Hotel.
Day 3 Tour White Desert, Black Deserts, and Crystal
Mountains.
Drive to Farafra and explore Oasis, camp under
the stars.
Day 4 Drive to Dakhla and explore the Oasis. Sleep
at Bedouin camp.
Day 5 Head to Kharga. Tour the Oasis and sleep in
Hotel.
Day 6 Travel to Luxor stopping at Baris Oasis and
Dush Temple. Tour Luxor and sleep in Hotel.
Day 7 Visit Luxor sites and continue to Hurghada.
Sleep in Hotel.
Day 8 Recreation and relaxation day in Hurghada. Sleep
in Hotel.
Day 9 Ferry boat to Sharm El Sheikh. Drive to Sarabit
El Khadem and camp in the desert.
Day 10 Visit Sarabit El Khadem, head to St. Catherine. Hike
up Mount Sinai. Relax and sleep at local eco-lodge.
Day 11 Visit St. Catherine Monastery. Head down to Dahab
and sleep overnight.
Day 12 Relaxation and recreation in Dahab.
Day 13 Head to Cairo, visit the pyramids and tour the city.
Sleep in Hotel.
Day 14 Transfer to airport for departure.

The trip starts from Cairo. Our representatives
will welcome you in the airport throughout
the whole day. Optional city tour if
time allows.

Our Western Desert journey begins.
The Western Desert covers a total area
of some 2.8 million square kilometers.
Bahariya is the first Western Desert
oasis town from the northern side of
Egypt. We have tea in a tradition Bedouin
house, and then explore the beautiful
oasis. Visit the valley of the golden
mummies, the newly discovered tombs
in the desert and spend the night at
hotel in Bawiti, Bahariya' only town.
Meals include: 1 breakfast

Next destination is the White Desert.
We explore the white desert and its
surreal formations and then move on
to Farafra Oasis. Farafra's old town
is a neighborhood frozen in time, with
its ancient arches and antique alleyways.
We visit the local museum in the afternoon.
Sleep overnight at a desert campsite
and enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner.
Meals include: 1 breakfast, 1 lunch,
1 dinner

We reach Dakhla Oasis and visit the
medieval town of Al Qasr with its distinctive
architecture. In addition, visit the
ethnological museum, a locally supported
project. Sleep at the Bedouin desert
camp under the stars. Meals include:

We drive down to Kharga, the largest
of the oasis towns and the hub of the
southern desert district of El Wadi
El Gedeed. Kharga has rich mix of culture
and activities. It was founded by thirty
families, over 2,300 years ago. On the
outskirts of town lie the remains of
the Temple of Hibis. There is also the
captivating "Al Bagawat," an ancient
Christian burial ground. Sleep at hotel.

We leave Kharga behind and arrive
at the remote Baris Oasis and visit
the Dush Temple with its surrounding
sand dunes. We continue on to Luxor.
Luxor needs no introduction; it’s the
home of the fabled Luxor temple and
the Karnak Temple, Egypt’s most spectacular
temple complexes. The intensity of the
ancient history in Luxor is unrivaled
anywhere else in the world. Sleep at
hotel. Meals include: 1 breakfast

We spend the day at Luxor and tour
its magnificent sites, such as the Valley
of the Kings on the west bank of the
river Nile. We then continue to Hurghada.

Hurghada is a thriving resort city
on the shores of the Red Sea. We’ll
have a chance to swim and relax on the
stunning beaches Hurghada has to offer.
Spend the night in a hotel there.

We embark on an early cruise to Sinai
via the express ferryboat. We reach
the famous resort town of Sharm el Sheikh,
and travel to the remote mountain area
of Sarabit el Khadem, stopping on the
way for lunch in the desert. The newly
restored Sarabit el Khadem is the only
ancient Egyptian temple in Sinai. The
area has a cluster of magnificent turquoise
mining caves that were used in ancient
times. We arrive in the afternoon and
climb Sarabit Mountain and decent after
sunset. We have dinner and camp for
the night at the Bedouin village of
Sarabit el Khadem. Meals include: 1
breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner

We drive through Naqb Budra, passing
through Wadi Maghara, which is a site
of ancient pharaonic turquoise mines.
We stop at Wadi Mukattab to see the
ancient Nabataean inscriptions. We then
drive through Wadi Feiran to the legendary
Saint Catharine Monastery and Mount
Sinai. We climb Mount Sinai around late
afternoon to watch the spectacular sunset
over the peninsula, those who do not
wish to climb can rent camels for an
extra fee to help them hike most of
the trip or just rest at the local eco-lodge,
which will also serve as the sleeping
place after the descent. Meals include:
1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner

We start the day by visiting the
famous St. Catherine Monastery. We then
head to Wadi Arada and trek through
the Canyon of Arada. We have lunch at
Wadi el Jibi followed by an off road
drive to the small laid back coastal
town of Dahab. Dahab has many attractions,
such as diving, snorkeling, windsurfing,
and Kitesurfing that you can enjoy for
an extra fee. Alternatively, you can
spend your time shopping at the local
bazaars. Sleep at the hotel there.

We continue the following day in
Dahab to relax on the pristine beaches
or undertake some of the activities
and/or shopping available. Optional
safaris in the desert (such as the colored
canyon) and camel rides will be available
upon request. Sleep at hotel.

Drive to Cairo; visit the great Pyramids
of Giza and the Sphinx and have some
free time to tour in vibrant Cairo.
